To apply a slope

Select desired pipe within the route where slope to be applied. The context tools appear on the Placement ribbon tab.

Select

( Apply Slope). The Apply Slope settings dialog appears with default settings.

Select an appropriate slope Method:

Rise/Run

or

% Percent

or

Degree

Define the amount of slope by entering a value in the slope (value input) setting field and selecting the direction of slope:

Up

or

Down

Check Slope Selected Pipe to include the selected segment of duct/pipe of the route apply slope to.

Check Continue Through Risers to effect the slope in the incremental steps on the route.

Enter a value for the tolerance span in Process Pipe Within.

Complete with a datapoint. Sloped components appear sloped, while previous locations are displayed with center line elements.

Note: The Slope settings are preserved in the Placement > Slope Options ribbon tab for a new pipe component being placed.
